Repositioning of the maxilla, mandible, chin, or a combination of the three can have a significant effect on a patient’s occlusal function, facial appearance, and self-esteem. Successful, comprehensive treatment usually requires a collaborative approach between an orthodontist and oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
