dc.description.abstractA series of piperidone-ibuprofen conjugates were synthesized through the reaction of 3E,5E-4-piperidones with the appropriate ibuprofen-amino acid conjugates in DCM in the presence of EDC and DMAP. All the synthesized conjugates were well characterized by spectroscopic techniques. Most of the conjugates reveal antiproliferative properties against A431 (squamous skin) cell lines with potency higher than that of reference drugs 5-fluorouracil and sunitinib. Many of the synthesized agents also reveal remarkable antiproliferative properties against a HCT116 (colon) cancer cell line.en_US
