dc.description | A collection of five pig aortic valves manufactured by Hancock Laboratories Incorporated and Edwards Laboratories. According to the exhibit card, the Carpentier-Edwards and Hancock pig valves are circa 1975-1979. Pig valves were first used in France by Dr. Carpentier and then later worldwide. Dimensions range from 2.0" H to 2.5: H; Diameters range from 2.0" to 2.5"; Weights range from 3.4 oz. to 6.2 oz. | |
