    Description
A flexible fiber optic bronchoscope. Its total length is approximately 59 inches. The control panel and lens of the bronchoscope is attached to a 7-inch piece made of metal; it resembles a microphone with a camera attached. In the front of it is "OLYMPUS B F Type-5B". It also has "MADE IN JAPAN". On one side of it, a possible serial or model number is listed: 811261. Attached to the bottom of this piece is 22 inches of cable that is black in color and has seven white lines going across it. Attached to one side of the metal piece is another line of cable that is approximately 54 inches in length. This cable is black in color and has a metal attachment, that I assume is for film. Taped to this piece of metal is a label that mentions the types of film to be used and the exposure indices. According to the exhibit card, this is the first flexible fiber optic bronchoscope is circa 1965. Dimensions are: 59" L; weight: 14.1 oz.
