Abstract
4.02 Academic Standing Policy: Georgia Health Science University maintains required academic standards of performance for its students. This policy describes those academic standards and the courses of action that can occur when these academic standards are not met. These include Academic Probation, Academic Dismissal, and Academic Suspension. This policy applies to students in all undergraduate programs at Georgia Health Sciences University. It should be noted however, that departments may apply more stringent academic standards than are outlined in this policy. Grievance Policy for Visiting AcademesGrievance Policy for Visiting Academes; Associate Provost for Academic Affairs; Georgia Health Sciences University (2009-07-17)2.09 Grievance Policy for Visiting Academes: Georgia Health Sciences University establishes a mechanism by which visiting academes can address conflicts or disagreements that might arise with their immediate supervisors. If discussions with that supervisor do not satisfactorily resolve the conflict, the visiting academe can pursue the grievance with the Vice President for Instruction and Enrollment Management & Associate Provost for Academic Affairs as described below. If the dispute remains unresolved after intervention by the Vice President for Instruction and Enrollment Management & Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, the visiting academe can then pursue the grievance with the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost, and finally, with the President.
