Augusta University Health
In 2004, Augusta University in association with the AU Health System, Inc. established the AU Center for Patient- and Family-Centered Care (CPFCC) to promote active partnerships among patients, their families and healthcare providers in the giving and receiving of healthcare services. The Center helps integrate a patient- and family-centered approach into academic education and research. Patient- and family-centered care helps improve care quality and safety, favorably impacts patient satisfaction, and increases staff retention. PFCC standards of care are integrated into services provided by AUHealth, the clinical arm of Augusta University. More information about CPFCC can be found at http://www.augusta.edu/cpfcc/index.php.
